The Great Hometown Commission

The church isn't meant to just gather on Sundays—we're called to be salt and light in our communities. As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary, it's time to remember that the freedoms we cherish were birthed from pulpits where pastors boldly proclaimed truth and stood for righteousness.

Paul told Timothy to "do the work of an evangelist" (2 Timothy 4:5). Our mission is clear: know God and make Him known. This means sharing the gospel with the lost AND engaging in our communities—from school boards to city councils. When the righteous lead, people rejoice; when the wicked rule, people groan (Proverbs 29:2).

Jesus didn't come to condemn the world but to save it (John 3:17). Have you accepted His gift of salvation? Are you living as salt and light? Peace time is over. It's time to show up, stand up, and speak up. Our communities are waiting for the church to step into positions of influence and lead with truth and love.
