His Glory in our past. How it all started...
Father’s House Church began in 1971 when Robert and Shirley Douglas were invited to a small fellowship meeting at 414 Mill Street in Decatur. After sharing his first message on November 21, 1971, the congregation asked him to become their pastor. They moved into the church parsonage just before Christmas, marking the beginning of a new season of growth and ministry.

His Glory in our present...
Father’s House Church is a vibrant, growing family of believers—passionate about reaching the lost, growing in our identity in Christ, and making an impact in Wise County through love, truth, and community. We gather for meaningful, Spirit-led worship and offer midweek discipleship groups, dynamic men’s and women’s events, a fired-up youth group on Sunday nights, and a fun, faith-filled children’s ministry committed to helping kids grow in who they are in Christ. There’s a place for everyone to grow, belong, and encounter God.
His Glory in our future.
Where we are headed...
At Father’s House Church, we’re reaching beyond our walls with Kingdom influence—impacting our city, supporting our police department, and extending hope throughout Wise County and beyond. We passionately support missions in Israel, Haiti, Africa, and right here at home, while our growing social media outreach creatively shares the good news across the globe.
The future is bright, and tomorrow promises even greater glory to God through the lives of our church family!
