Mousetrap: Forgiving Is Freedom
What if forgiveness is not mainly about what they did to you—but about what Jesus has done for you?
Jesus did not minimize sin, ignore pain, or pretend betrayal did not matter. He carried our sin to the cross, paid a debt we could never pay, and then called us to forgive others from the place of having been completely forgiven ourselves.
In Part 5 of “Mousetrap: Forgiving Is Freedom,” discover what biblical forgiveness really is—and what it is not.
Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, automatically trusting again, or pretending the wound never happened. It means releasing the debt because Jesus has already released ours.
The cross shows us both the seriousness of sin and the greatness of mercy.
You may not be able to change what happened to you, but through Jesus, you do not have to remain chained to it.
We forgive because He first forgave us. And in forgiving, we walk free.
