“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” - Ephesians 1:7
Jesus didn’t just talk about forgiveness—He proved it. He told the paralyzed man, “Your sins are forgiven” (Mark 2:5), and then healed him as visible evidence of His authority. He showed that forgiveness flows freely from the Father’s heart. And on the cross, with nails in His hands and mockers at His feet, Jesus cried out, “Father, forgive them” (Luke 23:34). That is grace on full display.
Paul takes that same truth and puts it into words we can build our lives on. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins…” Not will have. Not hope to have. We have it—now. Forgiveness isn’t something you work for. It’s something Jesus already paid for.
You are not partially forgiven—you are completely forgiven.
You are not on probation—you are fully accepted.
Forgiveness is not based on how sorry you feel or how well you perform. It’s based on the riches of His grace. That means it’s abundant, undeserved, and unshakable. You didn’t earn it, and you can’t undo it. Your sins—past, present, and future—have been completely forgiven through the finished work of Jesus. That’s how powerful His grace is.
If God has forgiven you, who are you to withhold forgiveness from yourself? Stop living like someone still guilty. You’ve been washed, redeemed, and made new.
So today, receive this truth again—deep in your heart. You are forgiven. Not halfway. Not maybe. Not eventually. Completely. And that forgiveness isn’t weak—it’s powerful enough to free you from shame, silence the accuser, and fuel a life that reflects the One who forgave you.
