Day 18: The Measure of Faith

“God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” — Romans 12:3 (NKJV)

Jesus said to the woman who touched the hem of His garment, “Your faith has made you well” (Matthew 9:22). He didn’t say His power alone did it—He credited her faith. But where did that faith come from?

Paul gives us the answer. Although, this woman was given the faith to believe under the Old Covenant. God has given each believer a measure of faith when we became New Creations. Since we have been made righteous in Christ, we have an advantage she did not have. We can believe because our new natured hearts are inclined to.

That means you have what you need to believe God. Right now. Even if it doesn’t feel like it. Faith isn’t based on emotion—it’s based on truth. And the truth is, you already have the kind of faith that moves mountains.

Faith isn’t about trying harder—it’s about trusting deeper. The faith God placed in your heart becomes convinced of the truth—it becomes resolute. As you act on it in obedience and remember who gave it to you in the first place, it takes root and becomes unshakable. Faith isn’t your idea—it’s God’s gift. And He is always faithful to back up His Word.

Don’t say, “I wish I had more faith.” Start using what you’ve been given. Speak the Word. Resist doubt. Obey the promptings of the Spirit. As you do, your faith will grow stronger—like a muscle that’s being exercised.

The measure of faith you’ve received is enough for the life you’ve been called to live. Why? Because it came from God. And everything He gives is good, sufficient, and powerful.
You are not faithless—you are full of faith. And that faith isn’t rooted in your ability; it’s rooted in God’s ability and character. He’s never failed before, and He won’t start now.
