“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come… shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:38–39 (NKJV)
Jesus prayed in John 17:23 that we would know the Father’s love—that we’d experience it in such a way that the world would recognize it. “You have loved them even as You have loved Me.” That’s not a distant hope—it’s a present reality. You are loved with the same intensity, depth, and commitment that the Father has toward His own Son.
Paul boldly declares what Jesus prayed for: nothing can separate us from that love. Not death. Not life. Not demons. Not your past. Not your worst mistake. Not even your present struggle. There is nothing strong enough to break the bond God established through Christ.
God’s love is not fragile. It’s not moody or unpredictable. It’s not based on your consistency—it’s anchored in His. And because it’s not earned, it can’t be undone. You didn’t start this love story, and you can’t end it.
Many believers still live afraid of rejection. They worry that if they mess up too badly, God will pull away. But the gospel confronts that fear with unshakable truth: You are completely loved. Perfectly loved. Eternally loved. And there is nothing—nothing—that can separate you from it.
God doesn’t love you more on your best days or less on your worst days. He loves you because He chose to—and He doesn’t change His mind.
Today, rest in that love. Let it quiet your fears and wash away your shame. You are not holding onto God—He is holding onto you. And His grip is steady.
