Day 24: Think on These Things

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure… meditate on these things.” — Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)

Jesus didn’t just confront behavior—He elevated thinking. In the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5–7), He revealed that the condition of your heart and the direction of your thoughts are just as important as your outward actions. He was calling people higher—not just to live clean, but to think clean.

Paul echoes that same call. In Philippians 4:8, he gives us a list—not of rules, but of filters. Whatever is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy—think on these things. Why? Because your thoughts become the atmosphere of your soul. What you dwell on will eventually dwell in you.

This is more than positive thinking—it’s spiritual stewardship. You can’t always control what thoughts appear, but you can choose which ones get to stay. Just like a gardener weeds out what doesn’t belong, you must be intentional about removing what poisons your peace and nurturing what builds your faith.

God is faithful to give you His Word and His Spirit so you don’t have to be ruled by negativity, fear, or toxic patterns. You’ve been given the mind of Christ—and part of walking that out is learning to set your mind on the things that align with His nature.

You’re not being fake when you focus on what’s good—you’re being faithful. You’re choosing to see life through God’s lens, not the world’s. This kind of thinking isn’t naïve—it’s redemptive. It lifts your gaze and fuels your hope.

Today, take inventory of your mental diet. What are you feeding your mind? Are you rehearsing lies, or meditating on truth? The more you choose to dwell on God’s goodness, the more peace and clarity you’ll walk in. Fix your thoughts—and watch your life follow.
