Day 3: The Supremacy of Christ

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created… and He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” — Colossians 1:15–17 (NKJV)

Paul doesn’t leave room for guessing. In one of the most awe-inspiring passages of Scripture, he declares who Jesus really is. Not just a good teacher. Not a spiritual leader among many. He is the image of the invisible God. If you want to know what God is like—look at Jesus. He is not part of creation—He is the Creator. He holds it all together, and He holds nothing back from those who belong to Him.

Jesus confirmed this during His ministry: “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). And after His resurrection, He made it plain: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me” (Matt. 28:18). The One who died for you isn’t just your Savior—He is supreme over everything.

When life feels uncertain, and the world feels like it’s spinning out of control, don’t forget who Jesus is. He is not trying to hold things together—in Him all things consist. He is not overwhelmed by what overwhelms you. He’s not beneath your problems—He reigns above them. He is Lord of all, or He’s not Lord at all.

The supremacy of Christ is more than a doctrine—it’s an anchor. You can trust Him because He’s not limited. You can follow Him because He’s not confused. You can rest in Him because He’s not shaken. He is before all things, and He will outlast them all. No matter what you face, remember: God is always able.

The clearer your view of Christ, the steadier your walk with Him will be.
Today, take time to worship—not just with songs, but with perspective. Set your heart on Jesus, the Creator and Sustainer of all. When you see Him for who He truly is, everything else falls into place.
