“...they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” — Mark 16:18 (NKJV)
Healing isn’t reserved for a few—it’s part of the believer’s calling. Jesus didn’t just minister healing—He multiplied it through His disciples. Before ascending to heaven, He gave this clear commission: “These signs will follow those who believe... they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” That wasn’t limited to apostles or a special few—it was for all who believe.
Paul took this seriously. He ministered healing through the Spirit’s power everywhere he went. In Acts 19, even cloths that had touched his body carried the anointing and brought healing. In Acts 14, he discerned faith in a crippled man and boldly declared healing. Paul also taught that healing wasn’t a side note—it was a gift of the Spirit, distributed within the Body of Christ (1 Cor 12:9). He called them “gifts of healings”—plural—because there are many types of healing and many ways the Spirit moves.
Healing is meant to flow through you. You don’t need a stage or a title. If you’re a believer, you’re qualified. The limitation is not on God’s end—it’s in what we believe. If we are ignorant of this truth or reject it, others may not receive the benefit of healing Jesus provided. That’s why we must renew our minds to God’s Word and consider it until we believe it’s true.
And here’s the key: when we meditate on the goodness of God, as Jesus revealed it, we find it easier to trust what He has promised. Jesus never turned anyone away. He never made anyone wait. He healed all who came to Him. That’s what perfect love looks like. When you know God is always good, always willing, always full of compassion—you’ll stop hesitating, and you’ll start expecting.
Healing power flows when hearts yield and hands obey.
Don’t let fear or inexperience stop you. You’re not the healer—Jesus is. But His Spirit is in you, and He’s ready to move through your hands, your voice, and your faith.
Let healing flow—and let Jesus be glorified.
