“He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” — Matthew 8:17 (NKJV)
Jesus didn’t just preach the Kingdom—He demonstrated it. Everywhere He went, He healed the sick, opened blind eyes, and set captives free. Matthew tells us this wasn’t just compassion in action—it was prophecy fulfilled. Isaiah had declared it centuries earlier: He bore our sicknesses and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4–5). Jesus made that truth visible. Healing was not an extra—it was central to His mission.
He didn’t turn anyone away. He never said, “It’s not your time.” Healing wasn’t a reward for perfect behavior—it was a sign of God’s heart breaking into a broken world. Jesus revealed the will of the Father, and that will was healing. Always.
Paul carried that same revelation. In Acts 14, he saw a crippled man and perceived he had faith to be healed. Paul spoke—and the man leapt up, completely restored. Paul didn’t hesitate because he knew something: healing was purchased. It was in the atonement. It was part of the gospel.
Later, Paul taught that healing flows through the Spirit as a gift to the Church (1 Cor 12:9). And Peter, echoing Isaiah, confirmed that “by His stripes, you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). Not just a future promise—a finished work.
Jesus took our sin and our sickness. The same cross that broke the curse of condemnation also broke the curse of disease. You don’t have to beg for healing—it’s already been paid for. Your part is to believe and receive.
You may still face symptoms. You may still be in a battle. But don’t let your experience define your theology. Let truth define your experience. Faith stands on what Jesus accomplished—not what you feel.
God is still Jehovah Rapha—the Lord who heals you. Healing is not just possible—it’s promised. It’s not based on you—it’s based on Him. And He’s already said yes.
Let that truth rise in you today.
Jesus paid for it. The Spirit empowers it. The Word confirms it.
Healing is yours.
