“And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” — Ephesians 2:6 (NKJV)
Before Jesus gave the Great Commission, He made a powerful declaration: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore…” (Matt 28:18–19). That “therefore” matters. He wasn’t sending us out powerless—He was sharing His authority. He was deputizing us—commissioning us to carry out His will with His delegated power.
Paul reveals the fullness of this truth in Ephesians 2. Not only has Jesus been raised and seated in heavenly places—you have too. In Christ, you are seated above every principality, power, and dominion. That’s not future tense—that’s present reality.
You’re not fighting for victory—you’re fighting from victory. You’re not a victim trying to survive—you’re an ambassador sent with delegated authority. The name of Jesus isn’t just a closing phrase for your prayers—it’s a key that opens doors, breaks chains, and enforces heaven’s rule on earth.
But many believers live unaware of their position. They beg for what they already have. They battle the enemy as if he has equal ground. But Jesus didn’t leave you in the valley—He raised you with Him. And when you realize where you’re seated, your perspective shifts. You stop reacting to circumstances and start responding with authority.
This doesn’t mean we walk in arrogance or spiritual pride. It means we walk in confidence—clothed in Christ, backed by heaven, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
You don’t have to put up with torment, oppression, or fear. You’ve been seated in Christ. You have the authority to resist the enemy, speak the Word, and see God’s will done in your life and the lives of others.
So today, stand in that authority. Speak life. Push back darkness. Pray bold prayers. And remember—you’re not trying to earn a position. You already have one. You are seated with Christ, and His victory is your foundation.
