“To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” — Ephesians 1:6 (NKJV)
Jesus said, “Whoever comes to Me I will never cast out” (John 6:37). That promise still stands. He didn’t require perfection—just faith. He welcomed the broken, the outcast, the rejected, the overlooked. And not once did He turn someone away who came to Him in honesty and humility. That’s the goodness of God on display in the life of Jesus.
Paul takes that truth a step further. He tells us that in Christ, we are not only welcomed—we are accepted. Not just included. Not just allowed to sit quietly in the back. Accepted in the Beloved. That word “accepted” means highly favored, fully embraced. It’s the same word used to describe Mary when the angel told her she was “highly favored” of the Lord.
This kind of acceptance doesn’t come from performance. It doesn’t fluctuate with your good days and bad days. It’s not tied to how well you pray, how much you serve, or how little you sin. It is rooted in Christ alone. You are accepted because of Jesus—not because of you. And because God is always faithful, that acceptance never wavers.
The enemy works overtime to convince believers they’re still outsiders—like they don’t measure up, like they have to earn their place at the table. But the gospel flips that lie on its head: You don’t fight for acceptance—you fight from it. You are not trying to belong—you already do.
Today, rest in that truth. You are accepted, fully and forever, in Christ. You are not on probation. You’re not waiting for approval. In the eyes of your Father, you’re already home. Walk through this day knowing you’re not only welcomed—you are wanted by a good, loving, and faithful God.
