“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” — Ephesians 6:10–11 (NKJV)
Jesus said, “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matt 16:18). That wasn’t just a nice idea—it was a declaration of victory. The Church was never meant to be weak or wavering. We are the ones standing in Christ’s authority—advancing with His armor, His Spirit, and His Word.
Paul tells us to “be strong in the Lord,” not strong in ourselves. This isn’t about toughing it out in your own strength—it’s about standing in what Jesus has already won. You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from victory. Christ has already conquered sin, death, and the devil.
But you do have a role. You must “put on the whole armor of God.” Not just one piece, not just when you feel like it. Daily. Intentionally. Fully. The armor includes truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Each piece is designed to help you stand—not retreat.
The enemy has strategies—schemes designed to distract, discourage, and defeat. But God has equipped you to withstand them all. You don’t need to fear the battle when you’re wearing the armor of the victorious One.
So stand firm. Not in fear, but in faith. Not wavering, but confident. You are clothed in Christ. You have His strength, His Spirit, and His authority. The battle may rage, but the outcome is settled. Jesus has already overcome—and now you stand in Him.
Today, put on your armor. Stand in victory. And remember: the gates of hell can’t prevail against the Church Jesus is building—and you are part of that Church.
