“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — Colossians 1:27 (NKJV)
Before the cross, God’s presence dwelled in temples made with hands. But that was just a shadow of what was to come. Jesus told His disciples in John 14:17 that the Holy Spirit would not only be with them—but would live in them. This wasn’t metaphor—it was the beginning of a mystery being revealed.
Paul unveils that mystery with these words: Christ in you, the hope of glory. Not just Christ for you. Not just Christ with you. Christ in you. The same Jesus who walked on water, calmed storms, healed the sick, and conquered death now lives inside every believer.
This is the foundation of your confidence—not your performance, not your personality, not your pedigree. Christ in you is your hope. It’s your access to strength, peace, wisdom, and power. He doesn’t visit occasionally—He has made you His dwelling place.
You don’t have to chase the presence of God—you carry it. You are a living temple. A walking testimony. The glory isn’t just something you admire—it’s something you host. Wherever you go, Christ in you goes too.
But many Christians live unaware of this reality. They beg for what they already have. They wait for God to come when He’s already arrived. That’s why Paul calls it a mystery—because it’s possible to be saved and still not fully understand what you’ve received.
When you realize who lives in you, you stop living small.
Everything in this world is telling you the opposite—that you must strive to be more. You have to stir up awareness of this truth by hearing it and considering it, by reminding yourself of it, then trusting Him to reveal Himself through you in your day-to-day life. Christ is not just a doctrine or a distant Savior—He is alive in you. Let His presence rise within you. Let His voice lead you. Let His power work through you. He is your hope. He is your glory. He is in you.
